4 to 6 Weeks Old

Can't believe this little angel is already 6 weeks old.  I know I'll probably continuously say this, but it seems like just yesterday I was pregnant.  The first night we came home with Jett I think we woke up 10 times.  I remember thinking I'd never survive getting up that much during the night.  I like my sleep! But, miraculously, we've adjusted and now my body is used to less sleep.  He's already growing so fast! All of his "firsts" (they're listed below) are so fun... I know that even more fun ones are yet to come.  Jon & I just look at Jett and are so in love with him already. 

At One Month:
Clothing Size: Newborn
Diaper Size: Newborn
Feeding: Between 3-4 oz. each feeding
Sleeping: Very consistent at every 3 hours.  I think we got lucky with a few 4 hour stretches during the night! During the first month he fought us on being swaddled, but ended up giving in & going to sleep.

At 6 Weeks (St. Patricks Day):
Weight: 10 lbs, 12 oz.
Height: 21 3/4 in.
Clothing Size: 0-3 & some 3 month outfits.
Diaper Size: Size 1
Feeding: 5-5.5 oz. breastmilk each feeding---Jett likes to eat!
Sleeping: Starting to sleep a little longer now.  During the night he sleeps between 4-6 hours at a time.  Just waiting for him to sleep through the night! And, he's come around with his swaddle! :)
Nickname:  Woodpecker---when this baby is hungry he looks like a little woodpecker on the side of the tree!

6 Weeks Old on St. Patricks Day

6 Week Appt--Kicking away & showing muscles

Milestones:

• Coming into this world :)
• Taking a bottle
• First Bath in his green bathtub
• Real tears when crying around 1 month old
• First road trip to Hot Springs---and was an absolutely wonderful traveler
• First trip to the mall shopping (and subsequently, Mommy & Daddy's first experience in remembering to pack extra clothes in the diaper bag in the future!)
• First "real" smile at Mommy & Daddy
• Sucking his thumb
• Getting close to Emma pup
• First professional pictures made (and they're precious!)

• Being swaddled during the first month (thankfully he got over that!)
• Diaper changes---but LOVES peeing/pooping while getting changed
• Diaper rash
• Not getting feed instantly--once again, loves to eat!
